Ingredients for apple and amaretti cake with rum
- 6 cups Golden apples
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cups butter
- 1/2 cups milk
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 4 1/4 oz amaretti
- 2 shots rum
- 1 pinch salt

Steps for apple and amaretti cake with rum
Start by beating the eggs with the sugar for a long time using an electric mixer, add the milk, melted butter, and salt. Gradually, while still mixing, add the flour mixed with baking powder, sifted, finally a shot of rum.
Peel the apples, cut 2/3 into small pieces, and the remaining into slices. Place the apple pieces into the batter, mix. Prepare the cake pan by lining it with parchment paper, about 10 inches. Pour half of the batter, cover the first part of the batter with amaretti, previously soaked in rum.
Now pour the other half of the batter, level it, and arrange the remaining apple slices in a radial pattern, sprinkle with sugar and bake for 50 minutes at 350°F. Check the baking with a toothpick, once ready, remove from oven and let cool.
