Christmas Wreath Salad Steps

  • Toast the walnut kernels in a large skillet for about 3/5 minutes. Shake the pan often so that the walnuts toast on all sides. Once ready, transfer them to a bowl and let cool, then roughly chop them

  • Let’s prepare the Vinaigrette. Place the vinegar in a bowl with the mustard and lemon juice, ground salt, and pepper; mix well. Slowly add the oil, whisking with a hand whisk until the sauce is smooth, thick, and well emulsified. Adjust the seasoning

  • Wash the salad and on a serving platter, arrange the leaves in a wreath shape. To help yourself, place a round object in the center and decorate all around. Distribute the tangerine slices, halved grapes, and halved olives on top of the salad. Create 3 roses with the prosciutto slices and place them on the plate, add the pomegranate seeds, Grana shavings, and decorate with toasted walnuts. Dress with the vinaigrette

  • Prepare the cheese balls: Pour the cheeses into a bowl, work them well first with a whisk and then with your hands to create a soft and homogeneous mixture. Moisten your hands and start forming balls about 1.2 inches in diameter

  • When you have finished all the cheese, pour the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and chopped pistachios into three separate plates, and coat the balls with each of the different colors.

  • Now take the plate with the salad, remove the central object, and place a cheese ball in the middle, serve and enjoy

I made individual serving plates, but nothing prevents you from using a large plate to use as a centerpiece
