Halloween Mummy Cake Ingredients

  • 8 oz oz puff pastry (1 roll)
  • 1 jar Nutella®
  • 3 pears (medium)
  • as needed powdered sugar

Tools

  • Pizza Cutter Pizza Cutter, Wheel Pizza Cutter with Stainless Steel Blade & ABS Handle, 4-inch Blade Diameter, Adjustable Blade Tension, Black

Steps for Mummy Cakes

  • Take a roll of puff pastry, I used a round one, but you can also use a rectangular one. I made a rectangle and set the scraps aside, we will use them later. Cut it into 8 parts, and place them on a baking sheet

  • Peel and cut the pears into pieces. Spread the Nutella on the small rectangles, and distribute the pear pieces on top. Take the pastry scraps and cut them into strips, which we will place on the cakes, as if they were small bandages. Trim the excess to make them regular. Bake at 350°F in a static oven for about 20/25 minutes, until golden

  • Once ready, remove from the oven and let cool. Dust with powdered sugar and place the sugar eyes, glue them with a drop of Nutella. And here are the spooky mummies ready

Variations on Halloween Mummy Cakes

Instead of pears, you can use apples. You can use different types of fillings, such as chocolate cream, jam, or fresh fruit, and decorate them with colored sprinkles or jimmies. Let your creativity run wild and create truly unique mummies!
