  • 1/4 cup milk (at room temperature)
  • 2 2/3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • to taste chopped pistachios (or pistachio flour)

Tools for Air Fryer Chocolate Muffins:

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 5 Muffin Liners
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Electric Whisk

Steps for Preparing and Cooking the Chocolate Muffins:

  • In a large bowl, place the egg and sugar and start beating them with the electric whisk, then add the vegetable oil and milk and mix them with the other ingredients.

  • Now add the flour sifted with the baking powder and cocoa powder, and continue to work the batter with the electric whisk until it is well blended, smooth, and without lumps.

If desired, you can also add chocolate chips or chocolate flakes (about 20 grams) and fold them into the batter with a silicone spatula.

  • Place 5 silicone muffin liners on the air fryer rack (no need to grease and flour them), put a couple of generous tablespoons of batter in each liner, then place the rack in the air fryer basket and cook at 340°F for 12 minutes.

  • Once cooked, while still warm, decorate them with pistachio flour or chocolate flakes, or leave them undecorated and dust with powdered sugar once cooled.

Once cooled, remove them from the liners and place them on a serving plate. If desired, you can also decorate them with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
