Air Fryer pizza is one of the most loved dishes worldwide, topped with your favorite ingredients and ready to be eaten in 15 minutes using the air fryer.

In recent years, the air fryer has conquered kitchens worldwide for its ability to cook food quickly and healthily, significantly reducing oil usage. But what many don’t know is that this tool is perfect for pizza too! Thanks to the circulation of hot air, the fryer creates a crispy and well-cooked crust while keeping the inside of the dough soft, just like a traditional wood-fired oven.

  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp fine salt
  • 1.25 cups tomato purée

  • to taste oregano
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 mozzarella cheeses

Tools for Air Fryer Pizza:

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 2 Bowls
  • 4 Baking Trays
  • 1 Cutting Board

Steps for Preparing and Cooking the Pizza:

  • In a large bowl, place the sifted flour, add the dry yeast and mix well, gradually add the warm water and when the ingredients begin to blend together, add the extra virgin olive oil, salt, and the remaining water.

Mix the ingredients well, first with a spoon and then with your hands. Form a dough ball and let it rise until doubled in size (about 2/3 hours) inside the bowl, covering it with a cotton cloth.

  • When the dough has risen, place it on a floured cutting board, work the dough again by making reinforcement folds, then divide it into 4 parts and form 4 balls.

Oil 4 trays that fit well in your air fryer, spread each dough ball on a tray and let rise for about 30 minutes.

  • While the dough finishes rising, in a bowl, put the tomato purée, add the extra virgin olive oil and salt, and mix well.

Dry the mozzarella well and crumble it into small pieces.

Put the tomato purée, mozzarella, oregano, and a few puffs of extra virgin olive oil if desired on each pizza.

Preheat the air fryer and cook at 375°F for about 15 minutes each pizza. If you have a large fryer, you can cook 2 pizzas at a time. Just remember to switch the trays halfway through for even cooking.

Tips:

If you want a crunchier dough, follow the recipe for air fryer pizza dough which includes semolina flour, just double the quantities.
