Steps for Preparing and Cooking Apple and Cinnamon Puff Pastry Sticks:
Cut a large yellow apple in half, remove the core, and peel it.
Grate it using the large holes, then season it with lemon juice and a few teaspoons of granulated sugar, mix well, and add cinnamon to taste, continuing to mix to flavor the apple well.
Unroll the rectangular puff pastry, use a fork or a dough perforator to make many holes in the pastry, add 2 heaping tablespoons of apricot jam and spread it over the pastry, then place the prepared apples over 2/3 of the pastry to create an even layer, finally add cinnamon to taste.
Fold the pastry and lightly press to seal it well, then cut 7 strips with a knife.
Take a strip, hold the inner part steady, and twist the top part to create a spiral, place it on a baking sheet, and proceed with preparing the other sticks, brush with milk and if desired add more granulated or brown sugar.
Bake at 356°F (180°C) for 15 minutes until they are golden.
You can also cook them in an air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for about ten minutes; if you have an air fryer with a single resistance, flip them halfway through cooking; they should be well browned.
Let them cool before consuming, and if desired, sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
