Steps for preparing homemade flavored breadcrumbs:
Take the stale bread, ensure there are no traces of mold because very often stale bread stored in humid places like the kitchen can produce molds that are very harmful to health, so make sure it is perfect.
Cut the bread into slices about 0.8 inches thick, then cut each slice into strips always of 0.8 inches and then into pieces of 0.8 inches, place them on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 320°F for about 5 minutes, the baking step is just to dry the bread well.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool completely.
Place the bread in the blender and start blending intermittently for 10 seconds then add the dried herbs and blend according to the consistency you prefer for your preparations, you can make it very fine or a bit coarser if you want to feel the bread more.
Place the flavored breadcrumbs inside a glass container, add a bay leaf which serves as an antibacterial and insect repellent.
Close the container tightly and store it in a place away from light and dry.
For this recipe, you can also use fresh herbs, just wash them well and dry them very well, then proceed according to the recipe, but WARNING flavored breadcrumbs with fresh herbs last much less than those with dried herbs and MUST be stored in the refrigerator.
