How to use the Versilia Pan, the pot that cooks sweet and savory dishes like an oven… but directly on the stove! A small masterpiece of Italian tradition that today returns as a protagonist in the kitchens of those who love to save energy without giving up the taste and wholesomeness of homemade foods.
The Versilia Pan is much more than a simple pot: it is the perfect tool for those who wish to prepare bundt cakes, pies, bread, and casseroles with uniform and natural cooking, without having to turn on the traditional oven. A smart choice, especially during the summer, when even just the idea of turning on the oven makes you sweat, or during vacations, camping, or in a beach house where maybe there’s no oven… but the craving for a sweet treat for breakfast remains!
Light, practical, and easy to use, the Versilia Pan sits directly on the gas stove, with the help of a flame diffuser, and in a few minutes, the magic begins: the heat is distributed circularly thanks to its bundt shape, the perforated lid regulates steam, and you can attend to other things while it slowly cooks your dough.
One of the most loved aspects? Energy saving! In an era where consumption matters more than ever, being able to bake a cake or bread without turning on the home oven is an advantage felt on the bill and in daily well-being.
And that’s not all: the pan is also perfect for those with little space, for those who love to cook sustainably, or for those who simply want to return to a more authentic way of doing things. Not surprisingly, those who try it hardly go back.

How to use the Versilia Pan:
As soon as you purchase the Versilia Pan, wash it well with hot water and dish soap, dry it thoroughly, and place it on the gas stove with nothing inside. When you no longer smell anything, turn off the gas. Now your pan is ready to be used.
The pan is not used in the oven but on the gas stove, ideal when on vacation without an oven or in summer when it’s scorching but the craving for a dessert persists…
The use is very simple; the only rule is to butter and flour the pot not just well but very well, and if you want super desserts, also butter the lid.
The pan is not dishwasher safe
Do not remove the lid until almost the end of cooking.
Place the flame diffuser on the gas and put the pan on top. For the first 5 minutes, use high flame, then lower it to the minimum, and in 45/60 minutes, you’ll have a super cake… using the smallest burner.
To achieve a nice browning, just insert rolls of aluminum foil into the holes of the pan during the last 10 minutes of cooking, this way your dessert will look freshly baked from the oven!
Not only cakes are cooked but also bread, pasta, and much more…
Many write to us saying that their dessert burns and remains raw; this happened because you used the burner flame too high. Lower it and do not open the lid.
To wash the Versilia Pan, simply wash it just after use with hot water and dish soap, letting it soak for a few minutes if the pan is very dirty.
Do not use abrasive sponges.
Warning: do not use on induction plates.

The Versilia Pan can be easily purchased online, or in homeware stores, and is often found at local market stalls.
Is it necessary to preheat the pan before use?
No, it is not necessary to preheat the Versilia Pan. You can pour the batter directly into the prepared pan and start cooking following the recipe instructions.
How can I check the cooking without opening the lid?
You can use a long skewer, inserting it through the holes in the lid. If it comes out dry, cooking is complete. This method avoids opening the lid and losing heat.
Is it normal to smell aluminum or metal during cooking?
It is normal to notice a slight smell the first time you use the pan, especially if it’s new. I recommend washing it well and doing a first “empty” cook (without batter) with some water and lemon peels to remove any manufacturing residues.
How do I store the Versilia Pan after use?
It is important to store it dry to avoid aluminum oxidation. You can store it with the lid slightly raised or insert a sheet of absorbent paper inside to absorb any remaining moisture.
Does the lid need to be airtight?
No, the lid is not airtight: it has small holes to let steam out. This is normal and helps avoid excessive condensation during cooking.
