  • Portions: 4 puff pastry flowers
  • Cooking methods: Air frying
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients for the light puff pastry flowers with jam in the air fryer:

  • 1 sheet rectangular puff pastry
  • 8 tablespoons light jam (or light marmalade)

Tools for the light puff pastry flowers with jam in the air fryer:

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Spoon

Steps for preparing and cooking the light puff pastry flowers with jam in the air fryer:

  • On a cutting board or surface, unroll the puff pastry and with a round pastry cutter of 3 inches in diameter, cut 12 discs.

For this recipe, we used light orange jam; you can use any light jam or marmalade of your preferred taste. Alternatively, you can also use light hazelnut or pistachio cream.

Place one disc of puff pastry, then put a flat tablespoon of jam on top and spread it well (don’t put too much, or it will leak out during cooking), then place another disc, more jam, and finally close with another puff pastry disc.

Repeat the process with the remaining discs; in total, you will get 4 flowers from 3 puff pastry discs each.

  • Now cut each flower into 8 wedges (as shown in the video) and twist each wedge (making a turn), so you get the petals.

Place the obtained flowers directly on the air fryer grid, brush more jam on top and cook at 356°F for 10 minutes, then turn the flowers and cook another 5 minutes again at 356°F. If you have a dual-resistance air fryer, do not turn them and cook for 13-14 minutes.

Once cooked, while still hot, brush more jam to make them shiny.

  • Let the puff pastry flowers cool before consuming.
