Nutella puff pastries in the air fryer, crispy, golden, and with a creamy Nutella heart, these puff pastries are the perfect dessert when you’re craving something indulgent, but don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen. Just 5 minutes to prepare and 10 for cooking in an air fryer, without needing to turn on the oven and without dirtying pots or pans.
The puff pastry puffs up, becoming light and fragrant, while the Nutella inside melts, creating an irresistible filling. Perfect for breakfast, a delicious snack, or a last-minute dessert, these treats are incredibly easy to make, with only two ingredients and a guaranteed result every time.
The air fryer allows for an even and crispy cook in less time than a traditional oven and with fewer fats, as there’s no need to brush the pastries with egg or butter. Just cut the puff pastry, fill it with a teaspoon of Nutella, seal the pastries, and in a few minutes, you’ll be ready to enjoy them warm and fragrant, perhaps with a dusting of powdered sugar to make them even more inviting.

Steps for Preparing and Cooking Nutella Puff Pastries in Air Fryer:
Unroll the puff pastry on a work surface with the short side facing you.
Divide the pastry into two parts; on the first half, place 12 piles of Nutella (1 teaspoon per pile) evenly, leaving some space between each to facilitate closure.
If you like, you can add chocolate chips on top of each Nutella pile.
Cover the Nutella piles with the other half of the pastry, pressing gently around the filling to adhere the two layers well.
With a fluted pastry wheel, cut the pastries; if using a knife or pastry cutter, press around the pastry edges with a fork’s tines to prevent the filling from leaking during cooking.
Place the pastries on the air fryer rack; we didn’t use parchment paper on the rack and didn’t have to flip them. If you use parchment paper, you’ll need to turn them halfway through cooking.
With our 6.5-liter fryer, we had to cook in batches; cook at 356°F for about 10 minutes, until puffed and golden.
Once cooked, let them cool and then dust them generously with powdered sugar.
If you prefer, you can also serve them warm.
