Pasta with zucchini and speck in the multicooker is a tasty and easy-to-make first course. The recipe also includes instructions on how to schedule the cooking so you can have a warm and freshly made meal at your preferred time.
Be aware of one thing: you don’t schedule the meal time, but the time remaining until the meal.
All the programming steps are for the Cecotec model Olla electric pot. If you have a different pot, follow the instructions.

Ingredients for Pasta with Zucchini and Speck in the Multicooker:
- 11 oz short dry pasta (any type you prefer)
- 4 oz speck (cut into strips)
- 2 light green zucchinis
- 1 yellow onion
- 6 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 2.7 cups natural water
- to taste fine salt
- to taste black pepper
Tools for Pasta with Zucchini and Speck in the Multicooker:
- 1 multicooker
- 1 Knife
- 1 Wooden Spoon
Steps for Preparing and Cooking Pasta with Zucchini and Speck in the Multicooker:
Peel the onion and dice it finely, wash the two zucchinis well, cut off the ends, then cut them in half lengthwise and slice them thinly.
In the multicooker, place the onion and extra virgin olive oil, then turn on the pot with the Sauté or Fry program and cook the onion for a few minutes, then add the speck, let it brown, and finally add the zucchinis, allowing everything to flavor well for a few more minutes, salt and pepper.
Add the pasta and water (make sure the pasta is covered by about an inch), adjust the salt, and close the pot.
Also close the valve and set the scheduled cooking:
ATTENTION this is the procedure for the Cecotec Olla pot. For other brands of electric pots, consult the manual.
Press the clock button and then calculate the time remaining until the meal (DO NOT set the meal time), for example, if it’s 11 and you eat at 1:30 pm, set 2 hours and 30 minutes. After scheduling the time, turn the knob with the Olla logo and set the minutes.
Press the various cooking program buttons (book logo) and set the pressure cooking program for half the cooking time indicated on the pasta package, then start.
Once cooking is complete, turn off the pot, let it vent, stir the pasta well, and serve it on individual plates.
WITHOUT SCHEDULING: you can easily skip scheduling the meal time, just skip the time scheduling step.
COOKING WITH A PRESSURE COOKER:
Naturally, you cannot schedule the meal preparation. The ingredients and cooking times are the same, first sauté without the lid, then put on the lid, and once the pot has reached pressure, lower the gas to minimum and cook for half the time indicated on the pasta package.
Notes
You can schedule not only pressure cooking but also steam, pasta, rice, and fermentation.
