Steps for Preparing and Baking Puff Pastry Breadsticks with Orange and Candied Fruit:
Unroll the puff pastry sheet and spread the bitter orange marmalade on half of the pastry, add the candied fruit and raisins (previously softened in warm, not boiling, water for 10 minutes, or you can add rum for a more intense flavor as we did, once softened, dry them well).
Fold over the other half of the pastry, like a book, and press lightly with your hands or a rolling pin to seal.
Cut the pastry into strips about 0.6 inches wide.
Twist each strip onto itself to form the breadsticks.Place the breadsticks on a non-stick baking tray and brush them with a little milk and add the sugar pearls.
If you are using an air fryer, place them directly on the grill.
Bake:
In a traditional oven: bake at 350°F for 15–18 minutes, until golden.
In an air fryer: bake at 340°F for 10–12 minutes, turning them halfway through if needed, until they are golden and crispy. Before serving, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.

Yes! You can enrich them with chocolate chips, chopped almonds, or hazelnuts, or a pinch of cinnamon for a more intense aroma.
Can they be prepared in advance and reheated?
