Puff Pastry Swirls with Jam in Air Fryer

Puff pastry swirls with jam in the air fryer, delicious and easy to prepare, perfect for breakfast or a sweet break during the day.

We used cherry jam, but you can use the jam or marmalade flavor you prefer.

The recipe also includes instructions for oven baking.

Ingredients for Puff Pastry Swirls with Jam in Air Fryer:

  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • 8 tablespoons cherry jam
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
  • to taste milk
  • to taste brown sugar
  • to taste sliced almonds

Tools for Puff Pastry Swirls with Jam in Air Fryer:

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Spatula

Steps for Preparing and Cooking the Swirls:

  • In a bowl, mix the cherry jam and cocoa well.

    Unroll the puff pastry on a cutting board, spread half of the pastry with the jam (set aside a generous tablespoon for final decoration) and use a spatula to spread it evenly, fold the puff pastry and press it well.

  • With a pastry cutter, cut strips about 0.8 inches thick, then take a strip, twist it, and roll it up to form a rose.

    Place the swirls on the air fryer rack, (we had to do two batches), brush them with milk and sprinkle generously with brown sugar.

    Put the rack in the basket and cook at 356°F for 15 minutes.

    After cooking, brush the swirls with the remaining jam and add sliced almonds or hazelnuts.

    Let them cool before consuming.

  • OVEN BAKING:

    Place the swirls on a non-stick tray, brush them with milk, add granulated sugar, and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.

    Remove the tray from the oven, brush the hot swirls with the remaining jam, add sliced almonds, and let cool.
