Ingredients for Raviole di San Giuseppe:
- 4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Butter
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 2 Eggs
- to taste Lemon zest
- to taste Mustard or plum or quince jam
- to taste Granulated sugar
- to taste Whole milk

Preparation of Raviole di San Giuseppe:
Prepare the shortcrust pastry by mixing in a bowl the flour, sugar, baking powder, grated lemon zest, and butter.
When you get many crumbs, add the eggs and work the mixture until it is quite homogeneous, then transfer it onto a pastry board and work it until smooth and homogeneous.
Form a dough ball, cover it with plastic wrap, and place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.Place the dough ball on a floured pastry board and roll out a thin sheet. Using a 4-inch diameter cookie cutter, make several discs.
Fill each disc with jam or mustard, fold the disc in half, and seal it well.
Place the Raviole di San Giuseppe on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the pastries with milk and then sprinkle them with granulated sugar.Bake the pastries in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, until they are golden brown.
Once cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar on the Raviole di San Giuseppe if desired.
You can store the pastries for a few days in an airtight container.
