Steps for Preparing and Cooking the Walnut and Chocolate Stars in Air Fryer:
Unroll the ready-made shortcrust pastry and use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out stars. Re-knead the scraps, then roll out a thin sheet like the original roll with a rolling pin and cut out more stars, re-kneading the pastry until it is all used (we made 30 stars, but the number can vary based on the size of the stars).
Line the air fryer’s grill with perforated baking paper, then place the stars on top (we had to do multiple batches because we have a 4-liter fryer), place a walnut piece in the center of each star.
Cook at 356°F (180°C) for 8-10 minutes (always check the cooking as it depends on the size of the stars and the power of the fryer, whether it has a single heating element (like ours) or a double element).
Once the stars are cooked, place them on a serving plate, chop the dark chocolate, then melt it either in a bain-marie or in the microwave, put it in a pastry bag and then decorate the stars.
Let the chocolate cool completely, then serve your sweet treats.
