Steamed cauliflower in the multicooker, ready in 5 minutes, rich in vitamins, minerals, phosphorus, and potassium, a true ally for our health.
Steaming preserves the vegetable’s properties better than traditional boiling without losing them in the water.
Great for making BAKED GRATINED CAULIFLOWER without béchamel.
For this recipe, we used the electric pressure cooker from Cecotec model Olla GM DE LUXE. A highly recommended cooker, reliable, with a very competitive price, allows for many types of cooking, the basket is non-stick, and replacement parts are easily found online.

Ingredients for steamed cauliflower in the multicooker:
- 1.75 lbs cauliflower
- 1 cup natural water
Tools for steamed cauliflower in the multicooker:
- 1 multicooker
- 1 Steam cooking basket
- 1 Knife
Steps for preparing and cooking steamed cauliflower in the multicooker:
With a knife, cut off the bad leaves surrounding the cauliflower, detach the good ones, and place them in a bowl. Cut all the cauliflower florets and put them in the bowl (if they are large, cut them in half), chop the cauliflower stem into pieces and add them to the bowl.
Wash thoroughly under running water to remove all impurities.
In the multicooker basket, put 1 cup of water, add the steam cooking basket (any basket will do, we recommend buying a large one as the basket size is quite wide).
Add the prepared cauliflower, place the lid on the multicooker, close the valve, and set the STEAM COOK program to 248°F for 5 minutes.
When the cooking is finished, turn off the program, slowly turn the valve to release the steam, remove the lid (the advantage of the multicooker is that the lid does not open until all the steam has been released).
Remove the basket with the cauliflower and use them for your dishes.
If you don’t have a multicooker, you can make the same preparation with a pressure cooker.
FAQ (Questions and Answers)
What type of cauliflower can I use?
You can use white cauliflower (rich in vitamin C, vitamins, and potassium), purple cauliflower (rich in calcium and selenium), green cauliflower (the color given by the high chlorophyll content makes it a powerful anti-anemic), yellow cauliflower (contains 25% more vitamin A than the white one).
