Yogurt in the Multicooker

Yogurt in the multicooker, a unique creaminess unlike store-bought yogurts.

The yogurt made in the multicooker is very easy to prepare, just mix 1 liter of organic whole milk with a jar of organic plain yogurt, then pour the mixture into the multicooker’s basket, put the lid on, and start the fermenting program… easier than that.

I thank the members of the group RECIPES WITH THE PRESSURE COOKER AND MULTICOOKER by Cris and Max for the advice given for the preparation (it is a group where many recipes and advice are published, if you want to join, we are waiting for you).

For this recipe, we used the multicooker of the company Cecotec model Olla.

If you don’t have a multicooker and want to make yogurt at home, we suggest:

Yogurt in the Multicooker
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Economic
  • Rest time: 3 Hours
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 lbs 6 oz
  • Cooking methods: Instant pot
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients for yogurt in the multicooker:

  • 1 quart organic whole milk
  • 1 jar organic plain yogurt

Tools for yogurt:

  • 1 multicooker
  • 1 Whisk
  • 4 Jars

Steps for preparing yogurt in the multicooker:

  • In the multicooker’s basket, pour the long-lasting whole milk and then add the yogurt, use a whisk to mix the ingredients well.

Close the pot and set the fermenting program for 8 hours.

  • Once the time is up, turn off the pot, remove the lid, and pour the obtained yogurt into glass jars or a large container, close the jars or container well and put them in the refrigerator to cool for at least 2/3 hours; we prepared it in the morning and then after the 8 hours, we put it in the refrigerator until the next day.

  • When the yogurt is well chilled, it is ready to be consumed; you can eat it pure or add fresh or dried fruit, chocolate shavings.

The yogurt can be stored for 4/5 days.

Notes

Remember to set aside a jar that you will need when you make it again so that you don’t have to use the purchased one anymore (as long as you do it before the 4/5 days of shelf life of homemade yogurt).
