Apple Bundles with Phyllo Dough are delicious and crispy little treats filled with apples, wrapped in phyllo dough that is different from GENOVESE CRAZY DOUGH, and different from puff pastry, which, once cooked, becomes very crispy and super tasty!
After the PIEDMONTESE STUFFED APPLES, the APPLES COOKED IN A PAN and the APPLE GNOCCHI, I needed to prepare something different. I wanted the APPLE STRUDEL but didn’t want to make the dough to wrap it, and since I had phyllo dough in the fridge, I decided to make these single-serving apple bundles with phyllo dough!
You’ll spend very little time and have a really tasty dessert! Try it too!

Ingredients
- 2 sheets phyllo dough
- 2 apples
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 0.7 oz raisins
- 0.35 oz pine nuts
- Half lemon (juice)
- butter
- honey
Preparation
Wash the apples and peel them.
Cut the apples into very small cubes and collect them in a bowl.
Add the pine nuts, raisins, and tablespoon of sugar.
Mix and also add the juice of half a lemon.
Mix again and let it rest while preparing the phyllo dough rectangles.
Cut the two sheets of phyllo dough in half and then again in half to get 8 rectangles.
Melt a knob of butter in a bain-marie or in the microwave for a minute at full power.
Brush a rectangle of phyllo dough with the melted butter and overlap with a second sheet of phyllo dough. Brush also the surface of the second sheet.
Place a generous spoonful of apple filling in the center of each phyllo dough sheet, then close into a bundle.
Do the same with the other phyllo dough rectangles.
Bake the apple bundles with phyllo dough in a preheated convection oven at 392°F for 10 minutes, or cook the apple bundles in an air fryer at 356°F for 10 minutes.
When the bundles are ready, serve them warm accompanied by a bit of honey and enjoy them crispy.
Storage
The apple bundles with phyllo dough are best enjoyed right after preparation, but they can be stored for three days at room temperature.
