Apple Pancakes a variation of the classic American pancakes, prepared with lots of love and perfect for the whole family’s breakfast! What makes these apple pancakes special is that the apples are not blended and added to the batter, but I chopped them into very small pieces and added them while cooking!

After preparing the blueberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes, I absolutely had to try adding apples to pancakes, especially since apples are never missing in my house!

If you have intolerances, I recommend using my water pancake recipe as a base!

If you like pancakes, you must try these other recipes:

Apple Pancakes
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 2/3
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 apple

Steps

  • To prepare the apple pancakes, pour the eggs into a bowl, add the milk, and start whisking by hand to combine the two ingredients.

Then add the sugar and mix again.

  • Add the flour and sifted baking powder and mix with the whisk to obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

  • Peel an apple, then slice it, cut into strips, and finally into small cubes; set aside.

  • Heat a small non-stick pan and when it’s hot, pour a ladle of batter on the base.

When it starts to set, add the apple pieces on top, cover with a little more batter, and flip your pancake with a spatula.

Finish cooking and place each apple pancake on a serving plate.

Continue in the same way to make all the other apple pancakes.

Serve hot, accompanied by honey, maple syrup, or powdered sugar and cinnamon.

STORAGE

I recommend preparing and consuming the apple pancakes immediately. If there are leftovers, they are also delicious the next day, slightly reheated in the microwave!
