Nutella Pizza the perfect dough of my WOOD-FIRED OVEN COOKED PIZZA, but sweetly topped with Nutella, hazelnut crumbs, and colored sprinkles.

Lately, I’ve been hosting a lot of “pizza parties” with friends because I found the right Pizza Dough, light, tasty, that rises well, perfect for baking both in the home oven and the wood-fired oven. Different from my PAN PIZZA DOUGH which is more moist and perfect because it doesn’t need to be rolled and then lifted with a peel.

At home, we love pizza in all its variations… the SARDENAIRA PIZZA, the PUMPKIN AND BACON PIZZA (which is my favorite in autumn), the HOMEMADE PAN PIZZA! But every time I love to end dinners with a good dessert, and how better to finish pizza-based dinners than with a delicious Nutella pizza? So roll up your sleeves and try it too!

Nutella Pizza
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Rest time: 3 Hours
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 1 Piece
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Manitoba flour
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp dry brewer's yeast
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup Nutella®
  • hazelnut crumbs
  • colored sprinkles

Tools

A dedicated pizza oven is not strictly necessary, but if you want to treat yourself, I recommend this:

  • 1 Pizza oven

Preparation:

  • Pour the Manitoba flour into a large bowl.

Add the all-purpose flour and dry brewer’s yeast.

    Pizza
  • Add the teaspoon of honey and mix with a spoon.

Begin adding the water at room temperature or slightly warmed and mix.

Finally, add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.

    Pizza
  • Start mixing and then knead by hand.

As soon as the dough starts to come together, add the teaspoon of salt, finish kneading until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean cotton cloth, and let rise for at least 3 hours.

    Pizza
  • Roll out the leavened pizza dough, prick the center of the pizza with a fork, then bake in a preheated oven at at least 482°F, even better if the oven reaches 572°F.

Once the dough is cooked, top with Nutella, hazelnut crumbs and colored sprinkles.

    Serve immediately while still hot!

Storage

I recommend preparing and eating the Nutella pizza immediately.
