The apple muffins without butter are soft and delicious bites ideal for breakfast or a snack.
The recipe does not involve the use of butter, but rather yogurt and oil as substitutes, which will give softness and lightness to the dough.
I feel like a pro with muffins, in fact, I have a lot of recipes of this kind on my blog.
Have you tried the recipe for soft Nutella muffins and carrot muffins? The savory versions are also delicious, don’t miss the pizza muffins and the Parmesan muffins. For apple muffins, you will find an abundance of recipes, I decided to try this one, which I got from a cooking group on Facebook, they shared the recipe with me and I decided to try it right away! I must say they are really delicious, also if well stored under a glass dome they keep for several days.

How to make apple muffins without butter
In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar, add the yogurt, oil, and keep mixing with the electric mixer.
Finally, incorporate the flour and lastly the baking powder, if possible sift everything.
At this point, cut 1 apple into cubes.
Then add the cubes to the dough, then pour the mixture into pre-buttered and floured muffin molds.
Decorate your muffins with the remaining apple cut into slices and sprinkled with a pinch of sugar, then bake in a static oven for about 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool, then sprinkle with plenty of powdered sugar.
Storage and variations of apple muffins without butter
They can be stored under a cake dome for up to 3-4 days. Alternatively, they can be frozen; it’s also possible to replace the apples with pears and to make them even more delicious, add chocolate chips to the batter.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Can the apple muffins be baked in an air fryer?
Absolutely, without preheating at 320°F for 12 minutes. Always perform a test as each appliance cooks differently.
Can a single batch be made?
Absolutely yes! Instead of muffin molds, you can make a single portion cake in a cake pan of 7-8 inches. The batter is quite liquid, so I recommend using parchment paper or using a pan without a springform release.
