Ingredients

  • 2 slices sandwich bread
  • to taste cream cheese
  • 2.5 oz fresh bacon
  • 1 sprig rosemary (or dried)
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

How to make bacon and Philadelphia appetizers

  • Take the first slice of sandwich bread and spread Philadelphia, the layer of cream should be nice and thick.

  • Place another slice of bread on top and cut.

  • First create rectangles and then small squares of 1 to 1.25 inches per side. They should be bite-sized.

  • At this point, wrap each square with bacon.

  • Next, place them on a baking tray, season with rosemary needles and a drizzle of oil. Bake at 392°F for about 12-15 minutes or until you see the bacon crispy.

  • Once out of the oven, decorate them with the Christmas toothpick, or a simple food toothpick. Serve immediately hot, but they are also delicious cold.

Tips and storage for bacon and Philadelphia appetizers

You can prepare them a couple of hours in advance. They can be stored until the next day covered with plastic wrap at room temperature. You can also cook the appetizers in an air fryer at 356°F for about 10 minutes.
