Ingredients
- 2 rolls white pizza dough (focaccia or pizza dough)
- 7 oz scamorza
- 3 oz tomato paste
- to taste chopped pistachios
How to Make the Bread Wreath
Unroll the ready-made dough and cut it into squares.
Stuff each piece with tomato paste and cheese, then close it.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray, put a small bowl in the center, and arrange the balls to form the wreath. Brush with beaten egg and a splash of milk, and decorate with chopped pistachios. Bake at 375°F for about 12-15 minutes or until golden.
Take it out of the oven and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
Storage and Tips on Bread Wreath
You can prepare it the night before and keep it in the refrigerator. Just before serving, brush it with egg and chopped pistachios and bake it. You can substitute pizza dough with puff pastry or shortcrust pastry.
