- 2 peppers
- 1 onion
- to taste salt
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste garlic powder
- to taste smoked paprika
How to make chicken strips au gratin
Cut the chicken into strips, the pieces should be neither too small nor too large. Ideally, all the cuts should be the same size to ensure even cooking.
Also cut the onion and peppers into strips.
Season everything with breadcrumbs, spices, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Pour everything into a baking dish lined with parchment paper, drizzle with a bit of oil, and bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes.
Storage and variations of Chicken Strips au Gratin
They can be stored in an airtight container until the next day.
You can replace the peppers with other vegetables, such as zucchini, onions, potatoes, or eggplants, depending on the season.
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can also bake the chicken strips in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
