Christmas Waffles for a Chic breakfast or snack! Today’s recipe is a revisited version of the legendary waffles that I love! They are really simple to make, keep in mind that I make them almost every Sunday for breakfast, and with this Christmas look, they are really cute. If you want to try them, there is also the chocolate waffle variant or the whole wheat waffles without butter. The texture is soft and buttery, they have an intense aroma, and are garnished with colorful sugar sprinkles, but if you prefer, you can serve them with nut crumble and cinnamon.

Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- to taste ground cinnamon
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk (warm)
- 5 oz white chocolate
- as needed sugar sprinkles (colored)
Tools
- 1 Waffle Iron
How to Make Christmas Waffles
In two separate bowls, divide the egg whites from the yolks, to the latter add the sugar and cinnamon. Also pour in the milk, then the melted butter, and finally the flour. Mix well and set aside.
Take the bowl with the egg whites and beat them until stiff peaks form, using a whisk from top to bottom to avoid deflating them.
Fold the beaten egg whites into the first batter and mix until smooth. At this point, turn on the waffle iron and let it heat up. When the waffle iron is hot, lightly butter it with the help of a silicone brush.
Then pour the batter with a ladle into the waffle iron and close it, cooking the waffles for about 5 minutes.
Once cooked, take the waffles and cut them in half, then, using a wooden skewer, create the support by inserting it in the center.
Decorate as you like, in my version I melted white chocolate on top and decorated with sugar sprinkles.
Storing Christmas Waffles
They can be stored at room temperature for up to one day under a cake dome. Alternatively, place them in the fridge covered with food wrap for a maximum of two days. Instead of white chocolate, you can use dark or milk chocolate.
