Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 200 g stracchino cheese
- 50 g salami
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- to taste lamb's lettuce
- to taste poppy seeds (optional for decoration)
Steps
To prepare the Easter baskets, start by unrolling the puff pastry, then use a pastry cutter to cut it into six circles. With the remaining puff pastry, re-knead it and make six more. (you should get about 12 pieces in total).
At this point, place them in slightly oiled muffin molds, and pierce the surface with a fork.
Fill with 1 teaspoon of stracchino cheese, then bake in a static oven at 392°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly, then remove them from the mold and prepare to fill the inside.
Fill with salami, a few leaves of lamb’s lettuce, and the hard-boiled egg.
If you like, add some poppy seeds.
Storing Easter Baskets
Easter Baskets can be properly stored in the refrigerator until the next day, kept in an airtight container. Freezing is not recommended as the puff pastry would lose much of its crispness.
