Gratin pasta is a traditional Italian dish, known for its creamy and crispy texture. There are many versions and every family has its own recipe with tips and tricks to make it special! Baked pastas are my absolute favorites, I recommend making baked mezze maniche with white ragù and also baked pasta without béchamel or Pugliese baked pasta, simple and tasty. A flavorful dish that’s easy to make, perfect for Sunday family lunches. Don’t forget to follow me on my pages Instagram and Facebook, I’m looking forward to seeing you!

Ingredients
- 10 oz short pasta
- 1 cup béchamel sauce
- 7 oz cooked ham
- 3.5 oz provolone
- 1.4 oz Parmesan cheese
- to taste breadcrumbs
How to make gratin pasta
Cut the cooked ham and provolone into cubes, then transfer them to a large bowl.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted boiling water, then drain it and add it to the cubes of cooked ham and provolone. Add the béchamel sauce and mix everything.
Pour everything into a well-oiled baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, add more grated cheese and breadcrumbs on top, along with a drizzle of olive oil.
Finally, bake in a static oven at 392°F for about 10-15 minutes.
Storage and tips for gratin pasta
Gratin pasta can be stored in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap until the next day. I recommend keeping the béchamel sauce quite liquid to preserve the creaminess of the pasta inside. If you like, you can also add sautéed champignon mushrooms.
