Ingredients

  • 10 oz short pasta
  • 1 cup béchamel sauce
  • 7 oz cooked ham
  • 3.5 oz provolone
  • 1.4 oz Parmesan cheese
  • to taste breadcrumbs

How to make gratin pasta

  • Cut the cooked ham and provolone into cubes, then transfer them to a large bowl.

  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted boiling water, then drain it and add it to the cubes of cooked ham and provolone. Add the béchamel sauce and mix everything.

  • Pour everything into a well-oiled baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, add more grated cheese and breadcrumbs on top, along with a drizzle of olive oil.

  • Finally, bake in a static oven at 392°F for about 10-15 minutes.

Storage and tips for gratin pasta

Gratin pasta can be stored in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap until the next day. I recommend keeping the béchamel sauce quite liquid to preserve the creaminess of the pasta inside. If you like, you can also add sautéed champignon mushrooms.
