- 1/2 cup sugar

- 9 tbsp butter

How to Make Greek Apple Cake
First, let’s prepare the liquid part: In a bowl, put the eggs, sugar, vanillin, and cream, and mix with a whisk.
Mix well to combine flavors and aromas, allowing the sugar and eggs to dissolve. Once done, set it aside for later.
Take the first sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter.
Place a second sheet of phyllo dough on top, making sure it adheres well.
At this point, crinkle it with your hands to give it an accordion shape.
Roll it up and place it in the center of a well-buttered mold, about 8 inches in diameter.
Proceed by buttering and pairing the sheets of phyllo dough 2 by 2 as indicated in the previous step. Place the crinkled sections around the first, starting from the center and moving to the edges of the cake tin.
At this point, butter the cake and bake in the oven at 356°F for about 15 minutes or until the dough is lightly golden. Meanwhile, cut the apples into thin slices; take the cake out of the oven and place the apple slices, inserting them between the slots of the cake.
Pour the previously prepared mixture, then bake again at 356°F for about 30-35 minutes.
Remove your Greek apple cake from the oven and let it warm, finally dust with powdered sugar.
