Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 9 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup coffee
  • as needed Nutella®
  • as needed chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Nutella®
  • 3 1/2 oz ladyfingers

How to Make the Nutella Layer Cake

  • In a stand mixer, combine the flour, sugar, eggs, and butter. Start mixing until a well-combined dough is formed.

  • Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Then, roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 0.16 inches.

  • Place the dough in a greased and floured 7-8 inch springform pan. Then prick with a fork.

  • Cover with parchment paper and weights, then blind bake at 356°F for about 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the yogurt with Nutella.

  • Also fold in the whipped cream, mixing from bottom to top without deflating the mixture. Place the cream in a piping bag with a star tip.

  • At this point, fill the base of the pastry with 1 tablespoon of Nutella and ladyfingers dipped in coffee.

  • Decorate the top with the prepared Nutella mousse.
