Try also the simple and delicious phyllo apple rolls or the crunchy apple cake. After filling them, the Nutella phyllo pouches are simply closed by folding them over themselves like little parcels. They are crunchy and absolutely indulgent — the combination of the two main ingredients makes them so special! Try them now; I’m sure they’ll win you over. Ingredients
- 1 package phyllo pastry
- as needed Nutella®
- as needed butter
- as needed powdered sugar
How to prepare the Nutella phyllo pouches
Take the first sheet of phyllo pastry, then brush it with melted butter.
Gently pinch the sheet in the center with your hands, forming folds.
Repeat the movement on each side, pushing the sheet toward the center to form a bow; you’ll see a small hollow form.
Fill with Nutella, then lift the four sides and close the pouch.
Once you have all the pouches, place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush with the remaining butter.
Bake them in the oven at 356°F (convection/fan setting) for about 10 minutes. Once out of the oven, dust them generously with powdered sugar.
Storage and tips for Nutella phyllo pouches
They can be stored under a cake dome for up to 3 days. Phyllo pastry is extremely thin and you risk tearing it when folding; I recommend placing it over a damp cloth. Alternatively, if it tears you can overlap two sheets lightly buttered and continue preparing them. You can also brush the phyllo with oil instead of butter.
