How to Make Puff Pastry Star with Salmon and Cream Cheese
Unroll the puff pastry, place a cup in the center, and make cuts, dividing it into 8 parts. Then fill it with cream cheese and salmon.
Take each petal’s end and fold it inward, forming a point.
At this point, take the inner ends of the star and fold them outward.
Decorate with olives and cherry tomatoes, alternating them.
Brush with egg and decorate with sesame seeds.
Bake in the oven at 375°F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Storage and Variations for Puff Pastry Star with Salmon and Cream Cheese
The puff pastry star with salmon and cream cheese can be prepared a couple of hours in advance. Freezing is not recommended due to the pastry. If you don’t like the combination, you can also vary with cold cuts and stretched cheese; I am sure that ricotta and spinach would also be good: just cook the spinach in a pan, then blend them and mix with the ricotta.
