Sausage and Stracchino Puff Pastries

Sausage and Stracchino Puff Pastries are a delicious idea to serve as an appetizer or aperitif, perhaps as finger food in a small bowl. They’re very tasty and can be made in just 10 minutes. I recommend serving them alongside snacks with tomato and bacon or bread rolls. The sausage and Stracchino puff pastries can be served hot or cold. At our house, they disappear in no time! Let me know if you try them too. A hug, Chicca.

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • 7 oz Stracchino cheese
  • to taste egg
  • to taste sesame seeds
  • to taste parsley
  • 2 sausages

How to Make Sausage and Stracchino Puff Pastries

  • In a large bowl, mix the Stracchino cheese, sausage, and chopped parsley.

  • Unroll the puff pastry and divide it into at least three parts, then fill the pastry as if forming sausages.

  • Fold the pastry and make 2 more sausages, place them on a tray and let them rest in the freezer for 10 minutes or until they are a bit firm.

  • After the resting time, cut each sausage into small pieces approximately 1.18 inches wide.

  • Brush them with the beaten egg and decorate with sesame seeds.

  • Bake in the oven at 356°F for about 12-15 minutes. If you prefer to cook them in an air fryer, proceed with a temperature of 338°F for about 12 minutes.

Storage of Sausage and Stracchino Puff Pastries

This recipe is best consumed on the day it’s made. However, if you have leftovers, you can put them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge. If you don’t like Stracchino, you can replace it with Crescenza cheese. You can also fill them with cold cuts and sausages using the same method.
