Ingredients

  • 2.2 lbs ricotta
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • to taste lemon zest
  • 1.4 tbsp butter
  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Steps for Spoon Dessert with Ricotta Cream

  • In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the sugar, grated lemon zest, and eggs.

  • Mix well until a smooth, lump-free cream is formed.

  • At this point, use the melted butter to grease a baking dish of 12×8 inches well and place 2 sheets of phyllo dough.

  • Fill with the cream and then repeat two more layers alternating cream and phyllo sheets.

  • Brush with the remaining butter and sprinkle the surface with brown sugar.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving.
