Sun Pie delicious appetizer, easy and quick, perfect to impress everyone; the recipe is one of those very simple ones, with few ingredients: puff pastry, 1 eggplant, ham, and cheese.

- 7 oz scamorza cheese
- to taste tomato sauce
- 1 sheet puff pastry (round)
- to taste sesame seeds
How to make the Sun Pie Delicious Appetizer
Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet. Place a bowl (or a medium-large cup) upside down at the center, pressing slightly.
Spread the tomato sauce around the perimeter of the pastry.
Lay slices of cooked ham over the sauce. Meanwhile, slice the eggplants and grill them.
Then, distribute the scamorza cheese and the eggplant slices, alternating the ingredients.
At this point, remove the bowl and make star-shaped cuts. Pull the inner points of the stars outward.
Brush with the egg and decorate with sesame seeds. Bake your sun pie in the oven at 356°F for 25/30 min. Take it out and serve!
Storing the Sun Pie Delicious Appetizer
This type of delicious pie can be prepared several hours in advance and can be served either hot or cold, but it must be consumed within two days at most. I do not recommend freezing it due to the puff pastry.
