Tomato Flatbreads

Easy and tasty tomato flatbreads will be gone in no time! The recipe is very simple, they cook in the pan in a few minutes and hide a really delicious cheesy center. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried them, but I assure you they are one of the fastest and most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. Tomato Flatbreads

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 oz tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 tbsp water
  • to taste salt
  • 3 oz scamorza cheese

Steps

  • In a bowl, pour the water and olive oil, then add a pinch of salt and mix with a fork.

  • At this point, add the flour and tomato paste. Knead until you form a smooth and soft dough.

  • Let it rest for 30 minutes covered with plastic wrap.

  • After the resting time, divide into 4 balls, then roll out with a rolling pin and fill with scamorza cheese.

  • Close into a bundle and cook in a pan until golden brown.

  • Close into a bundle and flatten well with the rolling pin.

  • Lightly oil the pan and cook the flatbread for 3-4 minutes.

  • If you like, drizzle with a little oil and oregano, serve hot and cheesy!

Storage

It’s best to consume the Tomato Flatbreads immediately, but if you have leftovers, you can store them in a paper bag or freeze them.
