Veal rolls with bacon, a quick and appetizing main course. There are recipes that don’t need much introduction because they speak for themselves. Veal rolls with bacon are one of my favorite main courses, perfect for quick dinners and can be prepared well in advance. Equally good, you can also try the veal rolls baked with ham and scamorza and the beer rolls.
The veal rolls with bacon are simple in ingredients but rich in flavor, born from the meeting between the delicacy of veal and the savory and enveloping note of bacon, which slightly melts during cooking, making the meat tender and irresistible. For an extra touch, I also add a small piece of cheese; and in a few steps, including baking, you’ll achieve a mouth-watering result! How to Make Veal Rolls with Bacon
Place the slices on a cutting board, and if the meat slices are too thick, pound them with a meat mallet. Then season with a pinch of salt and fill with the scamorza cheese.
Proceed by rolling the rolls, then wrap them in bacon.
Next, place them in a slightly oiled baking dish, add a few slices of orange between the spaces inside the dish, and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil.
Bake in a static oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
Storage of Veal Rolls with Bacon
This type of preparation can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. If you don’t like bacon, you can replace it with other cold cuts such as speck or cooked ham.
