Water Bundt Cake is an easy and light recipe very similar to the cocoa water cake. It’s a simple dessert, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. The peculiarity of this recipe is its lightness compared to a classic bundt cake: the water gives it a unique softness, but if you prefer you can serve it with a smear of jam or spreadable creams accompanied by a nice cup of tea. Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp water (about 130 g)
- 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp vegetable oil (about 130 g)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp granulated sugar (about 180 g)
- to taste vanillin (or other optional flavoring) (or another optional flavoring)
How to prepare the water bundt cake
In a large bowl, start by beating the eggs with the sugar and vanillin.
Beat well with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes or until the eggs become frothy.
Continue beating and add the water and the oil.
Sift in the flour while mixing and begin to incorporate the flour and the baking powder.
Then pour into a bundt pan about 9–9.5 in (22–24 cm), buttered and floured, and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (conventional setting) for about 30–35 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar.
Storage and variations for the water bundt cake
You can store it under a cake dome for up to 3 days. You can freeze it if you used fresh ingredients. You can add unsweetened cocoa powder by replacing 1/4 cup of flour; and for those with a sweet tooth you can add spoonfuls of Nutella to the batter before baking.
