Orange Custard

The orange custard cooked in the microwave is a fresh and fragrant variant of the traditional custard, perfect for filling cakes, spoon desserts, croissants, or even as a base for other desserts. Using cornstarch instead of flour makes it lighter and gives it a velvety texture, perfect for enhancing the citrus flavor of the orange.

The execution of the orange custard is the same as the traditional one that I, as you know, make in the microwave and this makes everything even simpler and faster, with only one container to clean!

I also tell you that if you want, you can use a plant-based drink instead of milk and if you want a stronger flavor and the custard is not intended for children, after cooking you can flavor it with a liqueur like Cointreau or Grand Marnier.

I had prepared the orange custard to fill the delicate poured cake, but then due to timing issues, I could no longer use it for that dessert; but don’t worry, it was not wasted at all!
