Parmesan carrot sticks, to be served as a side dish or as an appetizer alongside other vegetables, are super tasty and quick to make with very few ingredients.
A truly easy, economical, and tasty recipe that allows us to serve carrots in a different way than usual.
After delighting you with glazed carrots that so many of you have replicated, I am presenting this new variation. I am sure you will appreciate it very much!
Simply cut the carrots in half after peeling them, season with spices and oil, and then bake them for a few minutes.
The result is a crispy-on-the-outside side dish or appetizer, thanks to the parmesan crust, and tender when cut. A great way to accompany meat and fish in a different way.
Low in calories and very tasty, you just have to try this new recipe.

Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs carrots
- 1.4 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- sesame seeds
- garlic powder
- chopped parsley
- fine salt
- nutmeg
- ground coriander
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- grated parmesan
Steps
– Peel the carrots and cut them first in half and then each half into 2. Pour the oil and washed, chopped fresh parsley into a small bowl.
– Add the spices and garlic powder.
– Continue with sesame seeds and salt. Mix everything with a whisk.
– Toss the carrot chunks in a large bowl, season with the dressing, and mix well. Add enough parmesan to coat the sticks.
– Align the carrot sticks in a baking dish lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (fan or static) for about 20 minutes. They should lightly brown and remain slightly tender. Serve warm.
Notes:
– You can use a wide variety of spices based on your taste. Among the most suitable are: turmeric, curry, pepper …
– I considered about 2.5 oz of carrots per person; then you decide whether to serve them on a single central platter or individually.
