The Leccese Coffee – My Homemade Recipe is a must-try when visiting Salento!
Made with almond milk, coffee (from the moka pot), and ice, this way of serving Italy’s most beloved beverage was born from the intuition of Antonio Quarta, who began serving coffee with ice and a drop of almond milk (from Puglia). We don’t know if Mr. Quarta was inspired by the Spanish, but in any case, it’s a brilliant idea, especially when the temperatures rise!
To make an excellent Salento coffee, you need to pay attention to the temperatures of the two main beverages and try not to overdo the quantities!!
