Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 oz dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- to taste vanilla
Steps
Chocolate cookie sticks are very simple and quick to prepare, first put the flour, baking powder, vanilla, salt, and sugar in a bowl and mix quickly with a fork.
Add the room temperature butter and blend quickly, add the egg and form a soft and compact dough.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface, form a rectangle approximately 5 inches high and 0.4 inches thick. Then cut it vertically into strips 0.4 inches wide.
Place the resulting sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20/25 minutes.
Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler and put it in a narrow, tall container, then dip all the cookies, just on one side.
Let the chocolate cookie sticks rest so that the chocolate solidifies, you can keep them at room temperature or put them in the fridge for a few minutes. With the remaining chocolate, if you like, further decorate the chocolate cookie sticks, put it in a piping bag without a nozzle (with a very small opening) and let it drip over the already solidified chocolate. Let the chocolate cookie sticks dry further.
Tips:
Chocolate cookie sticks can be stored at room temperature for a couple of weeks. For the coating, you can also use milk chocolate or white chocolate.
