- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 8 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven, Electric Oven, Air Frying
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 16 chocolate bars
- 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 egg
- to taste powdered sugar
Steps
The chocolate pastry puffs are very simple and quick to prepare, first unroll the puff pastry sheet, cut it in half, horizontally and then into 4 equal parts, vertically, you will get 8 pieces of pastry.
Take two chocolate bars and place them at the ends of each puff, then roll them towards the center, until they meet.
Make all the chocolate pastry puffs this way, turn them over onto a baking sheet (keeping the parchment paper underneath), brush them with the beaten egg and bake the chocolate pastry puffs in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20/25 minutes, they should be golden.
Remove the chocolate pastry puffs from the oven and garnish with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Advice:
The chocolate pastry puffs can be kept at room temperature for 5/6 days. If you don’t have the usual milk chocolate bars, you can also use a chocolate bar (white, milk or dark or any flavor you prefer), breaking off strips of 4 squares.
