The jam puff pastries are quick, fragrant, aromatic pastries with a creamy filling. I had a roll of puff pastry nearing its expiration, an open jar of jam, and in 10 minutes, I prepared these delightful and very enticing treats for breakfast. Jam puff pastries are also perfect for a snack or after a meal. To make them even better, I added some crunchy sliced almonds; you can’t stop at just one!

Ingredients
- 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 egg
- to taste jam
- to taste sliced almonds
- to taste powdered sugar
Steps
Jam puff pastries are super easy and quick to make. First, unroll the puff pastry and fill half with the jam flavor of your choice; I chose strawberry.
Fold the pastry over, seal the edges well, and fold them inward. Brush the surface of the pastry with beaten egg, prick it with a toothpick, and cut it into 4 vertical and 4 horizontal sections without separating them.
Garnish the pastry with some sliced almonds and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) for 20/25 minutes, until golden brown.
Once cooked, dust the pastry with powdered sugar and separate the jam puff pastries.
Tips:
Jam puff pastries can be stored at room temperature for 4/5 days. You can use any jam/preserve flavor you like. If you don’t want to use egg, brush the surface with a bit of milk or melted butter.
