The Neapolitan savory pie is a rich, super delicious puff pastry rustic, very easy and fast to prepare. Easter is just around the corner, only a few days away, and, as every year, I like to give you simple and tasty recipes that everyone will enjoy. Loving appetizers, I start with this delightful Neapolitan savory pie, I named it this way because it has the same filling as the famous Neapolitan sandwiches (I prepared them last year with puff pastry, a more practical and quick version, you can find the recipe here :D). This Neapolitan savory pie is amazing, each bite will be different from the other, it’s delicious hot and great even cold, a little Easter appetizer (and perfect also for Easter Monday) that you absolutely must prepare 😀
- Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
- 7 oz scamorza cheese
- 3.5 oz cooked ham
- 3.5 oz salami
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 rolls puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Steps
The Neapolitan savory pie is very simple and quick to prepare. First, cook the eggs in a saucepan with cold water. Once it reaches a boil, continue cooking for 7/8 minutes.
Unroll a puff pastry roll and fill it with slices of cooked ham, some grated scamorza cheese using a large-hole grater, crumbled hard-boiled eggs, chopped salami, and the remaining grated scamorza cheese.
Cover with the second sheet, seal the edges well, and fold them inward. Brush the surface with beaten egg, make small holes with a toothpick, and bake the Neapolitan savory pie in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 30 minutes, until it’s well golden.
Advice:
The Neapolitan savory pie can be stored at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days.
