The Nutella Brick Cake is a super quick, no-bake cold dessert, fragrant and very delicious. Some time ago, I prepared the cheesecake brick and wanted to remake it using Nutella instead of jam. The result? An easy, tasty, simple, and delicious treat that everyone, young and old, will love, and it is prepared in 10 minutes, without cooking anything, without cream or mascarpone. The Nutella Brick Cake is perfect for breakfast, snack, or even as a dessert, and you can choose whether to soak the cookies or not depending on how you like the dessert, whether soft and creamy or more consistent!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 8-inch mold
- Cooking methods: No-bake
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 2 cups plain natural yogurt (unsweetened)
- 12.3 oz dry biscuits
- 7 oz fresh spreadable cheese
- 3.5 oz sugar
- to taste vanilla
- to taste Nutella®
- to taste unsweetened cocoa powder (for garnish)
Steps
The Nutella Brick Cake is very simple and quick to prepare. First, put the unsweetened plain yogurt, spreadable cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl and mix with a spatula until you get a creamy and homogeneous mixture.
Line a cake pan with plastic wrap and make a first layer of biscuits (you can choose whether or not to soak them in milk; I did not soak them), add the cream, a bit of Nutella (you can drop it with a teaspoon or use a piping bag/syringe), and cover with another layer of biscuits. Continue in this manner until the ingredients are used up (I made 6 layers).
Cover the Nutella Brick Cake with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge to rest for at least a couple of hours. Then, unwrap it carefully, garnish it, if you wish, with unsweetened cocoa powder, cut it and serve it.
The Nutella Brick Cake can be stored in the fridge for 3/4 days. You can choose whether or not to soak the biscuits; the cream is quite liquid and will soften the biscuits (I did not soak them), but if you prefer a softer and moister dessert, soak them in milk, milk and cocoa, or milk and coffee first.
