The Nutella cake in a pan is a no-bake and butter-free clever and delicious dessert. Even in summer, I can’t resist good soft cakes, but obviously, with this heat, it’s not advisable to turn on the oven, so I prepared this cake with pan cooking. How good! The Nutella cake in a pan is fragrant, soft, delicious, and has a creamy filling that does not sink but remains perfectly centered, it is prepared in a few minutes and cooks even faster than in the oven. For perfect cooking, it is important to use non-stick pans and keep the flame low on a medium-small burner. This little cake is perfect for breakfast or a snack, try it 😀
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 9.5-10 inch pan
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 5.3 oz plain yogurt (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet baking powder
- to taste vanilla
- to taste Nutella®
- to taste powdered sugar
Steps
● Preparing the Nutella cake in a pan is very simple and quick. First, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until they become light and fluffy. Add the vegetable oil and mix.
● Add the unsweetened plain yogurt, the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, and mix well until there are no lumps.
● Transfer the batter to a non-stick pan (you don’t need to grease it, it’s important that it is non-stick) and place a few teaspoons of Nutella on top; swirl it with a toothpick to create a marbled effect.
● Turn the flame to the lowest setting (on a medium-small burner) and cook the Nutella cake in the pan for about 20 minutes. You can flip it when the top is no longer liquid, and the edges are golden.
● Then flip the Nutella cake in the pan as if it were an omelet and continue cooking for 10 minutes. Use a toothpick test to check the doneness.
● Garnish the Nutella cake in the pan with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, cut it into slices, and serve.
Notes:
The Nutella cake in a pan keeps at room temperature for 3-4 days. If you use pre-sweetened yogurt, only use 1/2 cup (100 g) of sugar. Make sure to use a non-stick pan and keep the flame very low on a medium-small burner, otherwise, the cake risks burning.
