Ingredients
- 12 oz onions (already cleaned)
- 1 cup parmesan
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- to taste spices
Steps
Parmesan onions are very simple and quick to prepare. First, clean the onions and slice them thinly (about 1/8 inch), being careful not to separate them.
Place the grated Parmesan on a baking sheet lightly greased with a bit of oil, distributing it evenly. Place the onion slices over the cheese, brush them with a little extra virgin olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and add some spices to taste (I used rosemary, thyme, and paprika).
Bake the parmesan onions in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 20 minutes until they are golden.
Tips:
Parmesan onions can be stored at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days. You can use the spices you prefer.
