Ingredients
- 2/3 cup tomato sauce
- 5.3 oz scamorza cheese
- 1 roll pizza dough
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
- to taste oregano
- to taste water and oil for brushing
Steps
The pizza bombs are very simple and quick to prepare, first season the tomato sauce with extra virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper, and oregano.
Unroll the pizza dough and cut it into 4 parts vertically and 3 parts horizontally, you will get 12 pieces.
Fill each piece with a chunk of scamorza and a nice teaspoon of tomato sauce, then close them to form balls.
Place the pizza bombs on a baking tray, brush them with an emulsion made by mixing water and oil, sprinkle a little oregano on top, and bake in a preheated oven at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes, they should be golden.
Notes:
The pizza bombs can be stored at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days. If you want, you can enrich the bombs by adding cooked ham, salami, speck, or other fillings to taste. If you prefer, you can make your own pizza dough instead of using the pre-made one.
