Salami rolls are quick, easy, and super tasty no-cook savory swirls. Yesterday I published the cheese tree recipe, a must-make Christmas appetizer. I had some leftover ingredients to use up and decided to make these delicious salami rolls that disappeared in no time. Super tasty with a rich and creamy filling, you can make these salami rolls in no time, especially since nothing needs cooking. You can also prepare them in advance, making the roll and storing it in the fridge. They are perfect as an appetizer for Christmas and New Year’s or even for an aperitif, and they will win over young and old alike!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap

- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 8 Pieces
- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons, Christmas
Ingredients
- 7 oz cream cheese
- 3 tbsp pitted olives
- 1 cup arugula
- 0.9 oz sun-dried tomatoes
- 9 slices salami
- to taste black pepper
- to taste olives, arugula, and sun-dried tomatoes for garnish
Steps
Salami rolls are super easy and quick to prepare. First, make the filling: in a bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped arugula, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, chopped pitted olives (I used both black and green), and black pepper. Mix all the ingredients well.
On a sheet of plastic wrap, form a square with the salami slices, slightly overlapping them. Spread the filling on top and level it well.
Using the underlying plastic wrap, form a tight roll and wrap it like a candy. Place it in the freezer for 15 minutes (or in the fridge if you want to make it the day before).
After the time has passed, unwrap the roll and cut it into slices about an inch thick. Garnish the salami rolls as you like; I added a few pieces of olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and a leaf of arugula.
Tips:
Salami rolls can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days. You can substitute the olives and sun-dried tomatoes with chopped walnuts if you prefer.
