The savory fillo pie is a rustic dish with fillo dough cut into strips, which you can fill with your preferred ingredients. I had a roll of fillo pastry and some salami about to expire, so I made this rustic pie for dinner, and it was a hit! Delicious, crunchy, soft, gooey and extremely tasty, this savory fillo pie can be prepared in less than 10 minutes with a few simple ingredients, without butter, making it perfect as a main dish or appetizer, ideal even for a party or buffet, to be baked in the oven or air fryer!

Ingredients
- 8.8 oz fillo dough (11 sheets)
- 4.4 oz scamorza cheese
- 3.5 oz salami
- 0.3 cup milk
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 eggs
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
Steps
The savory fillo pie is very simple and quick to prepare; first, cut the roll of fillo dough into pieces about 0.8 inches thick and open the various strips.
In a bowl, put the eggs, milk, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, and mix with a fork.
Place half of the fillo dough strips in a baking dish lined with parchment paper and pour over half of the previously prepared mixture, top with a few slices of salami, scamorza cheese, more salami, and cover with the remaining fillo dough.
Pour over the other half of the batter and bake the savory fillo pie in a preheated oven at 392°F for 20/25 minutes or in an air fryer, at 392°F for 15/20 minutes.
Notes:
The savory fillo pie can be kept at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for a couple of days. You can fill it with the ingredients you prefer.
